Tarzan's Grip, 2009. (Oil on canvas panel, collage, 20x25cm)
Another oil painting on canvas panel. Image is built after a man I saw walking barefoot along Bonney Avenue. It was the first time I combined collage and oil painting, and then I painted the logo of Tarzan's Grip on his t-shirt, a glue I used for gluing the collage!

Boy With a Poop Bag, 2009. (Pencil on paper, watercolor, 29.7x21cm)
I used to walk all the way through Bonney Avenue here around the corner in Clayfield, some people may know how long this street is. During one of these walks I've noticed this desperate looking boy thrown out by his parents to walk the dog. He looked so funny and sad in a same time I had to draw him.

Three Friends Fishing, 2009 (Oil on canvas, 30x25cm)
This is a second time I have done a painting of a small pond surrounded by fishing gear and seats for fishermen. It has something that is so typical for my small format paintings in which I like to depict extractions of landscapes: this indefinite feeling of tranquility of a secluded spot abandoned by humans, but with enough elements for us to fear that this tranquility will soon be upset again. Here's a post of a sketch for this painting.

Come On Sweety, 2009 (Oil on canvas panel, 20x25cm)
Here's a "Come On Sweety" painting made after this sketch. It all started from a man I saw from my studios window: he was walking and looking back at his dog, and it seemed like he was talking to his pet. In a sketch I changed his haircut and added a bottle to his hand, and then while making a painting out of it I decided to take him away from this world and place him on a pink-white surface and give him a white aureole. Still something was missing until I painted pink dots over it and then everything finally looked perfect! I also wrote "Come on sweety" using coca-cola type.Lately I started enjoying hand-writing on my paintings using various types but with a shaky hand.

I decided to share some of the things I drew in my sketchbook, 'cause even though these are done fast and with no intention to be shown to public, still have lots of charm and appeal. Here's a sketch for a painting I did later, Come on Sweety!
